The governing code is the 2012 VECC, which does not have this language in Chapter 1. Therefore the code requires that these areas be designed and built to satisfy the review comment. Sheet E0.2 includes an interior lighting COMcheck. This COMcheck does not appear to have been properly completed to demonstrate the project is complying with section C405.5.2 of the 2012 VECC. It appears that not all light fixtures that are in the design are included in the COMcheck. For example, fixtures LT-50, LT-56, and "Incandescent 4" are all in the lighting schedule on sheet A40.2 but are not found in the interior lighting COMcheck. In the resubmission, include a complete COMcheck that is coordinated with the drawing lighting fixture designations, the total input power of each light fixture that is shown in the light fixture schedules, and the quantity of lights shown on the drawings. In addition, any existing lighting that is to remain in a space with new lighting must include the total fixture input power of the existing lighting in the interior lighting COMcheck.
